Chris Bozell, MA, LLPC

Clinician

Education

Chris has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Western Michigan University.

Experience

Chris has experience providing counseling for children, adolescents, groups, couples, and families in a variety of mental health settings. He is a strong advocate and ally for oppressed groups.

Anxiety, career transitions, chronic illness, depression, grief and loss, multicultural topics, parenting issues, substance abuse, relationships, trauma.


Sue Kohl, MA, LLP

Clinician

Education

Sue has a Master's Degree in Counseling Education/Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She is also a Certified Addictions Counselor.

Experience

Sue has over 25 years of working in a variety of substance abuse and mental health settings. 

Specialty  

Trauma informed therapy with clients suffering from addictions and mental health issues. Substance abuse, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss. Michigan Driver's License reinstatement, domestic violence.

Bunny Johnson, MSW, LLMSW
Clinician
Education
Bunny has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University.

Experience

Her experience includes working with clients/consumers with mental health issues and substance abuse issues for more than three years in her current position as a supervisor at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. She has a passion for serving and loving on people to insure and motivate them to achieve their goals and to realize they are valued and have a great potential for greatness.

Children with mental health issues and Substance abuse, as well as work with with families.



Brenda Henry, CRC


Recovery Coach

Education

Brenda has her Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She is also certified as Recovery Coach recieving her training from Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery. 

Experience

Brenda has 22 years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. Her desire is to help others gain and maintain their sobriety by providing emotional support and helping them make healthy connections within the community.

Recovery groups, Substance Abuse, Women in Recovery, Substance Abuse Development Plan with MCBAP


Melanie  Lockett ,LLMSW 
Clinician

Education

Melanie graduated from Western Michigan University with both her graduate degree in Social work and her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. She has a Master's Degree in Teaching and Behavior Management from Marygrove College in Detroit  and is a Limited Licensed Master's Social Worker (LLMSW).

Experience

She has experience working with diverse clients, providing brief interventions and referrals for additional or extended services,. Melanie has served as an elementary educator for Kalamazoo Public Schools for 19 years.

Children, adults, families, behavioral health, and communication. 



Calvin Ruff, MSW, LLMSW
Clinician

Education

Calvin completed undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He has earned a Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University.

Experience

Calvin has 25 years of experience providing a variety of individual and group mental health services at the local and international level. His firm commitment to the values of mutual respect, human dignity, and loving kindness serve as a strong foundation for his integrated clinical and holistic approaches to Wellness for adults, adolescents, and families.

Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, chronic/severe mental health concerns, substance abuse, grief and loss, mindfulness practice and contemplative approaches to well-being, expressive arts through drumming and cultural lore.
